			<link>http://www.rightlivelihood.org/news.html?&#38;tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=85&#38;cHash=ecaf9b14de</link>
<description>The Botswana High Court is due to hear a First People of the Kalahari (RLA 2005) application to unseal their water borehole in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve this week.
In 2006, they won a court case against their eviction from their land, which they had been forced to leave because of diamond finds. But the Botswana government prevents Bushmen from returning by cutting off their water supply.
Last week, soldiers and police entered the reserve, supposedly to intimidate the Bushmen.

			<link>http://www.rightlivelihood.org/news.html?&#38;tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=81&#38;cHash=42f20e8e9e</link>
<description>Poverty and climate change are threatening East Africa's Mau forest. It supplies an area ten times the size of Denmark with water. Nonetheless, about a third of the forest has been felled over the past ten years.
If the Mau Forest is destroyed, Kenya will die.&quot; Says Wangari Maathai.
The University of Copenhagen has just started a partnership with the Wangari Maathai Institute of Peace and Environmental Studies at the University of Nairobi and with Wangari Maathai's Green Belt Movement, which has planted more than 40 million trees in Kenya. Together they hope to find possibilities for a sustainable balance between the needs of the Kenyans and the forest.
