30 Years Right Livelihood Award

CHANGINGcourse - reclaiming our future

Signing of the Golden Book © Thijs Moonen

On the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the Right Livelihood Award, 75 Laureates from all over the world were convening in Bonn, Germany, from September 14–19, 2010.

The Laureates signed the Golden Book of the City of Bonn, the longest entry in the history of the book. Civil society organisations, NGO's, business, academia, activists, entrepreneurs and students had the possibility to meet the Laureates in cluster events and lectures to discuss their work and solutions and to compare their approaches with their own.

The conference in Bonn was made possible thanks to the invitation of the City of Bonn, which, in co-operation with the Foundation for Environment and Development North Rhine-Westphalia and the Foundation for International Dialogue of the Savings Bank in Bonn, hosted and organized the conference.

Laureate quote

Many many people around the world are seeking to lead different lives and are teaching us at every turn how to do that. We need to support these alternatives and help formulate the new rules of trade, finance, food production etc.
