From June 13 to 27, Ole von Uexkull, Executive Director of the Foundation, was visiting five candidates for the Award in South Korea, Cambodia, and India. Among them were three women's organisations in a wider sense, one development project, and one project for the rights and needs of the landless.

Deutsche Welle TV accompanied Ole on his trip to make a 26 min documentary about the Foundation's research work, to be broadcast in English, German, Spanish, and Arabic at the end of September (more information to come).

This year, Ole has also met and interviewed candidates from Sweden, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Portugal, Canada, the United States, New Zealand, Somalia, Kenya, and the United Kingdom. In the second half of July, a report about all candidates will be written and then sent to the international jury.

The jury meeting takes place on September 22 and 23 close to Hamburg, Germany. The 2007 Laureates will be announced at a press conference in the Swedish Foreign Ministry's press room on October 2, 10 am.
