Swedish Center Party donates one million Swedish Crowns to Right Livelihood Award Foundation
The Right Livelihood Award Foundation has received a donation of one million Swedish Crowns (about USD 167 400) from the Swedish Center Party.
The gift was presented to Jakob von Uexkull, founder and Chairman of the Foundation, and Ole von Uexkull, Executive Director, at the occasion of the Tällberg Forum, an international conference held annually in Sweden. Among the participants were also the Right Livelihood Award Laureates Ela Bhatt (RLA 1984), Manfred Max-Neef (RLA 1983) and Bianca Jagger (RLA 2004).
Maud Olofsson, leader of the Center Party, said: “The Right Livelihood Award Foundation highlights people all around the world who quietly work for a more humane society. This is an effort that we would like to encourage and contribute to.”
The Right Livelihood Award Foundation sincerely thanks the Center Party for this generous support.
